Helina Nieminen, affectionately known as the “Pink Paragliding Girl”, is a decorated pilot hailing from Finland, and a vibrant member of the international flying community. Her aerial journey began with skydiving in 2011, but her curiosity and passion for longer, more immersive flights led her to paragliding in 2012. By 2016, Helina had discovered paramotoring, and it quickly became her focus. With her skill and determination, she has earned numerous accolades, including first place in the Finnish Paragliding Championships, third place in the Nordic Championships of 2016, and third place in the 2018 Paramotor Slalom World Championships.

As a member of Team Finland and the Skyengine Team, Helina thrives on the thrill of competition and the camaraderie that comes with it. She competes in Paramotor Slalom and cross-country free flying while also participating in paramotor shows. Beyond competitions, Helina is passionate about teaching; as a certified paragliding and paramotor instructor in Finland, she takes pride in sharing her love for the sport and helping others achieve their flying dreams.

For Helina, flying is about freedom, exploration, and connection—with the sky, the community, and herself.
