Our Story
Past. Present. Future. Helix.
Helix-Carbon GmbH
Founded in 1990, Helix-Carbon GmbH has established itself as a global leader in the production of carbon fiber propellers for a variety of application in multiple industry sectors.
Kurzgesagt:
(In a nutshell)
Founded in 1990, Helix-Carbon specializes in the design and manufacture of cutting-edge carbon composite propellers across diverse applications.
In the aviation realm, Helix leads the industry by developing robust propellers for aircraft with a power range of 5 to 250 kW. Our use of carbon composite materials, informed by extensive flight tests and experience, results in propellers known for high strength, low weight, exceptional robustness, and efficiency across a broad speed range—accompanied by minimal noise.
As a recognized global market leader, Helix engages in ongoing collaborations with industrial and academic partners, including RWTH University and FH Aachen University, ensuring our position at the forefront of innovation.
With over 33 years of experience, we annually sell more than 10,000 Helix propellers worldwide, allowing us to tailor solutions to individual customer requirements. European light aircraft manufacturers, drawn to our innovative propellers, often collaborate exclusively with us to meet their technical specifications.
Our commitment to quality extends to complex applications, with a growing production line for unmanned aircraft, especially military UAVs. Additionally, we undertake continuous projects for industrial clients, producing large fans, cooling propellers, and high-load-bearing carbon components for machine production and plant construction.
Join us on our journey of innovation, where Helix continues to propel possibilities, pushing the boundaries of what carbon composite propellers can achieve.
