If you needed another reason to visit Prague- the European STOL Competition is it! 

Although still in its infancy- the european STOL community is growing- and quickly. This event is evidence of that. A long weekend of wild flying and generally reckless behavior set in the picturesque countryside just outside of Prague in the Czech Republic awaits anyone who dares to show up. 

This year saw a dozen or so highly talented STOL pilots- along with a number of other general aviation pilots and enthusiasts turn out for some fun and flying. We were even treated to a surprise excursion to go swimming in the backyard of the one and only Aleš Křemen (founder and owner of almost-as-good-as-Helix propeller manufacturer, Woodcomp). 

As the STOL community continues to grow, so will the European STOL Competition- and next year promises a larger gathering, hotter competition, and even more surprises- so look for us there!
